Plastic-Free Dinners are coming to Aberdeen! What better way to spend a Monday evening than enjoying a three course meal while learning more about ways to reduce personal plastic waste and raising money for an international development charity?
We produce and use 20 times more plastic today than we did 50 years ago, and the average adult will throw away their own body weight in plastic every seven weeks. Every piece of plastic ever produced still exists today, and only one third of plastic packaging in the UK is recycled. For less than the price of a takeaway, you're invited to experience a meal cooked with ingredients free of plastic packaging. Most dietary requirements can be catered for, and there will be a choice of mild or spicy chickpea curry with all the trimmings, as well as a starter and a pudding.
Starter: Vegan Onion Bhajis
Main: Mild or Spicy vegan chickpea curry, rice and flatbread
Dessert: Vegan banana bread or brownies
Tickets cost £10 and all profits go to child.org. Tickets have to be purchased in advance and there is a limited number available, so don't hang around!
